Just out of curiosity... why do some people get so angry in their blog comments?

Blogs are for the expression of whatever it's owner has on his/her mind. If I want to talk about the whack-a-docious-ness of Charlie Wilson's old azz still sporting cornrows... or the common usage of the horrible horrible non-word 'conversate' among the uninformed... it's my blog and it's my prerogative.

But I am noticing of late that people are getting increasingly hostile with their comments. Not just in my blog, but in blogs across blogland. I recently witnessed a blog feud on fellow (and quite humorous) blogger's site, Leon said it. On his blog, this dude not only insults Leon and his frequent visitor Jia, but after 50 or 60 some-odds comments worth of insults flying back and forth between the three, this dude created a badly photoshopped image of Leon Licking somebody's titty or something and posted it on a forum. This prompted Leon to dedicate a post to blasting on this dude. (It is quite humorous... my favorite comment is that..."This brother probably has a personal vendetta against every mirror on Earth. Be yelling at them shits like "STOP MOCKING ME!!!"... funny shyt.) Then random dude created TWO seperate blogs. One to talk about Leon's daddy, and the other to talk about Leon's mama, whom he called a trick. (Mind you, the whole premise of his beef with Leon and Jia was that they were ghetto trash, and dumbing down our people with gutter talk... yet he started a blog to call someone's momma a trick... go figure...)

Now I don't know how ya'll got down when ya'll were growin' up, but if you call my momma a trick, THEM THERE IS FIGHTIN' WORDS! And I couldn't be held accountable for the can of whoop azz I unleashed upon you from that point on, and ANYONE would feel the beat down was justified. (Even that unfortunate child's own momma)

Now reading the insults volleying back and forth was comical. I must admit. But after laughing hysterically for a few minutes... I stopped to think. What the hell is going on in blogland? Why are peeps cyberthuggin, and internet bytchin' like this? Its just the internet people! Let's keep this all in focus. Its never that deep. Everyone is entitled to express their opinions on any topic they choose. But let's try to refrain from juvenile name calling and being just plain mean. It's unnecessary... and corny.

I didnt post links to this dudes pages because I dont want to encourage his antics. I will leave you all with this... 'DONT START NONE, WON'T BE NONE.' Keep it clean people, especially on my blog... cause I dont want to have to cyber pimp slap anybody. ;-)

Internet beef is sooo stew-ped. What's the point? If you don't like a site or have anything good to say about it than don't visit. It's just that freaking simple. I can't understand for the life of me why people spend time and energy on that shite. Its plenty of sites I don't care for but I keep it to myself (okay, and maybe a couple of other people via AIM). Never do I leave hate on other's people blogs. Thats...so...desperate.

Cyberland can be very treacherous at times and I do agree that most of the beefs are downright silly.Then again when you look at the Internet's impact on the way we communicate with one another I can see why some folk get so caught up in and take this blogger beef so seriously.

The problem with people like the brotha who went post crazy in Leon and Jia's comments sections is that he took the words to heart.

You have to separate yourself from the net. So what, someone talked about you. Let that shit go.

Now what he should have done was take the high road and not even respond, but noooooo, that was too much like right. He made himself look more of a fool by responding hundreds of times. Now people really think his ass is crazy. He just made himself more of a target for fodder by responding.
