Watching a train wreck in slow motion...

Have you ever had to watch one of your close friends date someone you knew was bad for them... but tried to be supportive because they were 'in love' with this person? I have been trying... and trying to be supportive for the past year of one of my female friends relationships... but I just can't do it anymore.

From the moment they met a year ago, they have not gone through a single solitary week without a ridiculous dramatic screaming match argument. For real, they can't go 7 days without yelling and screaming like they are on Jerry Springer... WHAT THE FUKK ARE YOU ARGUING ABOUT IN THE FIRST WEEK? WHY ARE YOU STILL DATING IF YOU FIGHT LIKE THAT THE FIRST WEEK? They argue about everything from serious stuff to chicken... no, really, one fight was literally about chicken.

But for some odd reason, she pursued a relationship with this dude. A couple of months later... she moves out of state to be with this dude. No job, no apartment... goes and lives with this dude she can't get through a week without screaming at. No, really. I didn't get it either. I advised her against it. I said just get a job first... get your own place... date for a minute. What's the rush? But, she did it anyway.

As the months pass, the fights continue... she is kicked out a few times, because after all, it was HIS place, not hers or theirs. One time it was so extreme she called one of our mutual friends to come get her because she was locked out and walking in the pouring rain with no where to go. And despite all this... I tried to be supportive. When she called I would try to be impartial. Its her life, she has to make her own conclusions. So I never pushed for her to leave him or interfered with their relationship at all.

She was told that she could not be friends with any of her exes, two of which are our close friends. She complied, and called and told both that she was in a relationship and can't talk or associate with them anymore... then dude got upset with her and told her that she wasn't supposed to call them... she was supposed to just ignore them and not talk to them at all. So despite her compliance and cutting off good friends, the manner in which she did it was still wrong, so it STILL led to an argument.

I get semi-monthly calls to say 'it's over'... some of them tearful... some are mid argument and I can hear dude in the background screaming at her, and her screaming back at him in my ear... and now I am to the point where, I know that no matter what I say, or how upset she is, that after a few hours and her blood cools, she will go back and try to work it out. So... we kinda have a routine. She calls upset talking about its over, dude comes up screaming... I say, why don't you handle that there and call me later... usually I don't hear anything from her for days and I have to call and check on her. And she is like... oh yeah, I am good, and explains that they worked it out and how their problem is communication, or miscommunication... or how they have come to some new understanding... or how they are going to get counseling... or how they are only going to send each other text messages when they are upset so that the arguments don't escalate into screaming matches... there is always some new fandangled approach. (Does this sound ludicrous to any of you too?)

If you have been married 35 years... ok... I would get it. Do what you need to do to stay together. You have a serious time investment. But... after barely a year, when you were fighting like this from the jump? FIGHTING IS THE RELATIONSHIP! What are you fighting to save?

And when I tell ya'll... this is only the surface shyt... I am not even getting into some other shyt that makes my blood boil. Before ya'll ask, no she has never been beaten... so while this seems so battered wife syndrome... she is not battered. (altho abuse can be mental, and that is definitely the case here...) 

During the past 8 months she has been living with him, she got a new great job. And just this month, they moved into a new apartment with BOTH of them on the lease... The last time I was with them, an argument broke out and she ended up crying herself to sleep in the living room with us, while he slept soundly in the master suite. Well... at least she wasn't outside in the rain.

I don't want my friend to feel like she can't come to me. But at this point... I can't fake supportive anymore. It's like watching a friend get hit by a train in slow motion. You see her on the track, and you see the train coming... but despite your screaming and yelling, she doesn't move. Until she realizes her own value and self worth, the train doesn't exist to her. She will not see the train.

I can only pray that she will come to her senses... and see it before it's too late.

WAAAAAAAAAKE UP!!!

The state of our country scares the shyt out of me. I have said this before, and I will say it again. America is living on past glory, and if we don't do something DRASTIC soon, we will become a third world country. Gas and food is becoming unaffordable... people are losing their homes and defaulting in record numbers, and now wall street is buckling...

The bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, a major financial firm that has been around since BEFORE the Civil War... and the sale of Merryl Lynch to Bank of America on the same day is serious sign of our country's dire financial status. These companies survived world wars, natural disasters, 9/11...

But what they can't survive is DUMB AZZ SMALL TOWN AMERICA!

Thats right! I said it. Middle America is STUPID!

Everyone is pandering to the small town Americans, and really, I think that THEY are the ones to blame for the decline of America. And I am going to tell you why...

They elect people based on their perceived character rather than their position or actions on issues that affect the entire country's well-being. (Actions ILLUSTRATE character... not a stupid speech!)

Middle Americans are racist and ignorant. They think its ok to say that they are ignorant because they are from a small town. Its a license to say racist or offensive things... 

Middle Americans bought into this stupid war against Terrorism. (How do you fight a CONCEPT?! Wars are fought against defined opponents. Not an idea... not a single person like Bin Laden... And there is supposed to be a clearly defined metrix for success... without which, the war NEVER ends.) Middle America bought into the whole idea that if you don't support the war, we must hate America.

Small town americans idolize this 1950's white picket fence mentality which even THEY fail to live up to it. (Sarah Palin with her teen-aged pregnant unmarried daughter...) This 'common sense values' bullshyt is forcing our government to legislate based on religious beliefs when our country was built on the DIVISION between church and state.

Our focus SHOULD be on things that prepare us for the future. Our focus should have been on being green DECADES ago, or regulating our financial industry to prevent things like we are experiencing now. But NO... we are arguing irrelevant issues like... gay marriage. Who cares if two women/men want to get hitched? WHY IS THAT A NATIONAL ISSUE TRUMPING OUR ECONOMY? TRUMPING A SENSELESS WAR? TRUMPING ISSUES THAT WILL KEEP US RELEVANT IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY? I will tell you why, because small town America IS STUPID!

I know what you are thinking... middle America may be stupid but what does that have to do with the failure of our financial system... And to you guys... I have just one thing to say...

MIDDLE AMERICANS ELECTED GEORGE W. BUSH!

TWICE!!!

They elected a president based on his views on same sex marriage... despite the horrible first four years. Because of THEM, we were subject to 8 years of bad government, both in the top office and in legislation where republicans had control for many of those years.

AND NOW they are humoring this ridiculous McCain, Palin ticket... Someone who says 'I don't know' more than my four year old nephew, and a mayor of east bumble cookie Alaska, who clowns Barrack's community service prior to his federal government tenure, but talks about how she ran a city in Alaska like it's REAL experience... as if its even remotely relevant...

Middle Americans are like sheep. They blindly follow whatever the Republicans say without question. So many contradictions and false statements have come out of the Republican candidates that its amazing to me that they are nearly tied with the Democrats in the polls...

What scares me about this whole financial situation is that it is the result of Dumb Ass George Bush who was elected by Dumb Ass Middle America. And the very possibility of it happening again with McCain almost makes me want to move to Canada.

But I can't. Becuase despite its flaws, I still believe this is the BEST country in the world. I love my home and I want it to STAY on top. I don't want to live anywhere else in the world (until I retire or something... but that is more about living in the tropics like a king than the nation itself... but I digress)

Middle America needs to accept that THIS IS NO LONGER 1950's AMERICA! This is a NEW AMERICA. One that is diverse, and changing... If we want to stay at the top of the heap, we have to WORK and EVOLVE with the rest of the world. And we can't do that stuck in the past.

Middle America... I beg you... please...

Before it's too late...

If it walks like a corny bootleg cripple foot queen...

Remember that post, Entertainment Drama, where I said I was in a theater production that was going up soon? I am not anymore.

More Drama... To sum up a long story... the theater production I was a part of was canceled... 3 weeks to opening date, after I endured FOUR MONTHS of drama. The writer/producer (whom I will call the cripple-foot queen) of the production decided that we (the actors) were not ready and it was our fault because we were not stepping up our game.

Now if this was indeed true, and we were at fault, I would have accepted the criticism and called it a day. But the situation we were in, was because of him. Among MANY other ludicrous things he did, he switched directors THREE times, and the last switch was two weeks ago, only 5 weeks before opening. And the new director changed up all the staging, so we basically had to re-learn the entire show.

I am drained. There were so many ghetto negroidian things going on that I don't even have the energy to recount them all. I cussed out the cripple-foot queen via email (because if I called or saw him in person, it would have gotten ugly) and I released it. I let it go. I can't deal with the negativity. It didn't work out, oh well... on to the next thing. If I think about my wasted time for the past 4 months I am liable to flip the fukk out and catch a case. So I will take it as a learning experience. I felt like this production and the cripple-foot queen were corny and bootleg from the start, but I second guessed myself.

If it walks like a corny bootleg cripple-foot queen, and talks like a corny bootleg cripple-foot queen... then it is a corny bootleg cripple-foot queen. I learned to trust my instincts.

In other news...
I have been thinking about my guest room issues... I still want to be able to put up my people if they come visit for a weekend or something... but I don't want it to be taken for granted. So, I have decided to change my guestroom into an office. I figure if there is no visible bed in there, it changes the energy of the room. And if I am really using it as an office, I will feel less guilt saying 'hell no' when people ask me to stay for extended periods. Check out this desk that I found. Its a desk with a hideaway bed.... what do you think? I love the function of it... but I am not sold on the design... if you guys know of anything similar, but better looking design-wise... holla at me.

         

I have a dream

It's been a long time... its not that I haven't wanted to blog about random things since this hiatus began. But after being gone for such a long time, I couldn't come back and blog about burning boiled eggs (true story) or the really smelly sandwich roll dude at Pathmark that wore my nerves out. It needed to be something worthwhile...

After a long hard-fought battle with Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama FINALLY solidified his nomination for the Democratic party to become the first black nominee for a major party in history. Its a beautiful thing. I am so excited to be alive during this moment in Black History, and American History. We are only months away from what could be the first Black President of the United States.

Martin Luther King had a dream that we as African Americans would be viewed as equals. And in my eyes, there is no better symbol of our equality than for one of us to be elected as the president of the United States in a country where we are STILL a minority, which would mean that many of the votes to elect Barrack will come from non-African American citizens. For White Americans to vote for a Black man believing that he could do just as good a job if not better than a White man, would illustrate that not only do WE believe that we are equal, but that others believe it too. I am not saying that Martin Luther King's dream would be realized completely by Barrack's presidency, but exactly 40 years after his death, a monumental step toward this dream could be taken.

I just hope that all the division created within the party by Hillary's long fight does not create bigger issues for us all. Many are saying that they will vote for Mccain if they can't vote for Hillary. And that to me is ludicrous. The majority of Barrack and Hillary's ideals and policies are the same. They just go about solving the problems differently. I can't imagine these issues disappearing based on who is on our Democratic ballot.

Ultimately, the difference between Hillary and Barrack is personality, and her being a white woman, and his being a black man. Now, don't get me wrong... I do love Hillary. Long before I knew who Barrack was, I knew that Hillary was a champion for causes that affected me. So I do love and support Hillary, BUT... I just love Barrack more. I hate to say that its just cause he is a Black man... because there are other reasons that I won't get into because I don't want this to turn into a Hillary bashing post. But, the biggest reason and difference to me between Hillary and Barrack is that the profound significance of a Black man being elected president is far greater in my eyes to that of a white woman. How we are viewed by the world, how monumental this is in our blood-stained history, and finally and most importantly to me, the potential effect this could have on the Black community. Children growing up seeing a Black man as a president has to open their eyes to their own potential.

Some might argue that the impact for a woman can be great for little girls too. And while that could be great, its not the same. Young White girls grow up with white privilege their entire lives. I don't think that they grow up thinking that they can't be president. I think they grow up thinking that it just hasn't happened yet. And even if there was a White woman president, that would not translate to Black girls. In my opinion, it would be another example of White privilege that they are not privy to. Where as a Black man as president is so far reaching in it's unlikelihood just a few short years ago, that if a Black man could become president, I believe that everyone would believe that they have a chance...

I have dream. I have a dream that Barrack Obama becomes this nations next, and first ever Black president. I have a dream that little Black boys and girls will be able to take pride in this and believe in the possibilities of their greatest and most profound dreams. I have a dream that the dreams of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were only a precursor to the dreams that we will realize in our own lifetimes. And unlike Dr. King's dream which probably seemed so distant to him and more idealistic than real, my dreams are only a few months away, and so close that I can taste them.

Who knows what the next few months may bring, but I am excited at the possibilities. And I am optimistic about the outcome. Ya'll just make sure that you are registered and get out there and Barrack the vote when the time comes.

Friends with the ex...

Some of my friends think I am crazy, but I am friends with all of my exes. It may take a minute sometimes, but usually, I can get to a place where we are legitimately friends. I can see them, be genuinely happy to see them, and we will talk and laugh without even one iota of a romantic notion, or any nostalgia. Sometimes I wonder what the hell I was even thinking about when I dated them.

But as with anything, there is always one exception to the rule. There is that one person who makes you lose any facade of coolness you think you may possess. Meetings are awkward, and uncomfortable. Friend-like conversation feels forced. You don't really want to ask about their life outside of family or work because you dont want to hear about any new relationships. And everytime they smile you find yourself consciously trying not to stare at their dimples or their long eyelashes (or their azz as they walk away). Ok... maybe thats just me.

I am not saying I am still in love. But I'd be lying if I said I didnt have some romantic impulses or an impure thought or two... (or five since I have given up porn... but thats another long post... lol TMI?)

I have friends who never deal with exes at all. They will see them and keep walking. And until now, I never understood it. I don't think I would ever take it to that extreme. But... now I understand it. It's not an anger thing with me, just more of an understanding of my own limitations. I dont look at this ex like I look at my friends. I never have romantic feelings when I hang out with my friends. And romantic feelings that you cant do anything about arent a good look.

My ex moved outta state, so the random meetings dont happen often. (Yaaaye for me!) But we kinda run in the same cirlces, so when the ex is in town, running into each other is likely. I wonder if we will ever be just cool friends like I am with the rest.

YouTube Record Deals

Its amazing to think of how technology changes everything. With YouTube anything crazy that you do that is caught on tape will be viewed over and over... and email forwarded around the globe 25 times in the blink of an eye. I can only imagine what crazy antics of my past will resurface on youtube after I blow up. I just hope I have all of my clothes on... lol

But did you ever think you could get a record deal through YouTube? There is this girl from Holland who was doing covers of popular songs, taping herself with a webcam, posting it to youtube and created a following. Even I had been forwarded her youtube clips a few months back. And now months later... she is a signed artist with Justin Timberlake's new label and has already worked with Kelly Rowland. Isn't that crazy?

Her name is Esmee Denters, here is my favorite clip of hers, you can check her and judge for yourself. I dig the quality of her voice. And she has great control. If she can expand her higher range, she can really do well for herself. I wish her luck.

And with the success of YouTube, there are imitators like Daily Motion, and the x-rated sites like xtube. I just saw a daily motion clip today that I love. I saw the Color Purple a while back when I took my ex for a birthday gift. I had absolutely no intention of going back to see it. It was a fantastic show, but brings back bad memories... boo. I heard Fantasia was in it now. And after seeing her do her own Fantasia Barrino Story... I was DOUBLY not pressed to see it again. She was as Whack as a Jherri curl in 2007 in that.

But then I saw her sing, "I'm Here", live at the Tony Awards in this Daily Motion Clip, and I HAVE to go back and see it while she is in it. Some people may not dig her sometimes 'screaming' style of singing... but for some songs, it just works. And this is one of those situations. She gave me chills singing this because she is clearly feeling this song as she sings it, and she makes me feel it. I can so see her relating to the character of Celie, and being able to bring life to that character in a different way than LaChanze would have. And with such an integral character, its almost a whole new play. I would have never thought to go see it again if I had not seen this clip. I would buy this on an album... love this performance, and without sites like YouTube or Daily Motion, I would never have seen it.

Getting old? Me?

This weekend a few of my friends wanted to gather and have a picnic at this free outdoor concert to celebrate the graduates this semester, myself included. Yeah, ya'll might remember that I finished my coursework last November, but my MA and MBA commencement was a few weeks ago. Besides, any occassion that is about celebrating me, is cool with me... lol

Anyway, after the free outdoor salsa concert, my friends all wanted to go to a salsa club. At first, I just didnt feel like going, but after they gave me a big guilt trip because they say I dont visit them in CT enough anymore... I felt obligated to go hang out. Besides, dancing salsa would help me burn off all the carbs I consumed drinking beer at the park all day. (The quest for the elusive 6 pack is never-ending...)

We got to the club around 10:45... and by 12:45, I was ret'ta go. I was trying catch the last train because I wanted to sleep in my own bed and didnt want to crash in CT, and I knew the last train was at like 1am. Plus, I really don't feel the need to close the club down anymore. And my friends were like... stop acting like an old man. And I thought about it. Wow... am I acting old?

I remember the days when I would get to the club at 11 or 12 and stay til it shut down at dawn. Then leave the club and go get breakfast. I stayed at the clubs like it was a full time job. But now, in New York, I still dont go to the club til 1230 or 1, but I am ready to leave by 3, I dont want to be in the club til 4, 5 or 6. I go, I dance, have a drink or two, and I am good. I don't feel the need to close it out. If I dont have the number I want by then, I am not getting it, and I cool with that. There will always be others.

I remember the days when all I needed was a floor and maybe a pillow, and I was good. Nowadays, if there is no separate bed for me, no haps on me crashing. And even when there is... I still just prefer the comfort of my own home. And I dont mind driving an hour and a half at 3am to get to my own bed.

I remember when I used to LOVE roadtrips. Undergrad, I didnt have a car, yet I never missed any of the hot events up and down the east coast, from spring break in Daytona to Howard's Homecoming. But now, I can't imagine a roadtrip packed up in any tight azz car with all my homeys anymore. I want to just hop a flight and get the travel part over with.

Is that old? I mean, I can see how it can be seen as mature... but... I am still a fun guy, so I dont think I seem old. Boughie maybe... but old... not so much. Eh... well... even if it is old... as long as I dont look it, its all good. LOL

*sigh* Excuse me while I go take my multi-vitamin supplements. lol

'The Secret' & my new direction

I am on 'The Secret' bandwagon. I am a late-comer to 'The Secret', since Oprah talked about it ages ago. And the movie has been on dvd for a while. But I do believe that, whether this attraction stuff works or not, positive thinking and visualization are great tools to help you accomplish your goals. When you truly believe you are going to accomplish something, you natually do what it takes to get you there. You become your own self-fulfilling prophecy. Call it 'The Secret'. Call it 'the power of Positive Thinking.' Call it whatever... I just know that believing in the possibility of your success is the first step to making it happen.

Lately, I have been going through mad changes. But because I am only trying to concentrate on the positive, I haven't blogged about the negative stuff. Concentrating on the negative only invites more negative. And I am not trying to go that route. But lets just say that the past few months have been taxing on my optimism. BIG TIME!

One of the positive things about 'The Secret' philosophy is that it helps you believe you can accomplish anything, and that nothing is impossible. So no matter how crazy things get, you believe that you will not only get out of that bad situation, you will excel if you truly believe you can and concentrate on your goals.

Some of you might recall that in recent months, I was signed to a casting agency for modeling and acting. At first, I didnt take it seriously because I didn't believe in the possibility of succeeding in the competitive entertainment field. But again, with 'The Secret' you believe that you can accomplish anything. And deep down, I really wanted to pursue this. But you have to believe it first yourself. And after a few false starts with commercial auditions I didn't get, namely an ipod commercial that I was up for that I thought I NAILED that just started airing a couple days ago without me (arrrrrrrrgghh) I am not discouraged. Well, I was initially, but I am over it. That commercial wasn't meant to be my first big televised gig. I now believe that my first big gig is going to be a movie. I am preparing for a casting for a big motion picture featuring names you all know and would flip out if I told you. I believe that this is going to be my big break. The role is for someone who looks like me, is about my height, my build, my complexion, with locks... AND is NEW TO ACTING! Basically, it was tailor-made for me.

Those of you who are familiar with 'The Secret' know that positive energy also helps people to accomplish their goals. So all of you reading this out there, either pray for me or wish me luck (which ever you feel most comfortable doing...) But whatever you do, send some positive thoughts in my direction.

So... while I am studying monologues and trying to pull that together. I am also trying to decide on a headshot. Here are my three four options... (The last one is a late entry...)

Imus and hip hop?

Yo... is it me? Or is blaming hip hop for Don Imus's comments mad ridiculous? I mean, for real, how much hip hop does Don Imus listen to, really? The whole Oprah lynch mob town meeting the other day was so extra to me.

First of all, disrespect for women is blatant in our society as a WHOLE, not just in HIP HOP. Look at any youth based music genre. They all have scantilly clad video girls, not just hip hop. Even the artists themselves are in the videos in bikini's and short skirts. Look at entertainment as a whole, sex is used to sell EVERYTHING! Its just in hip hop, rappers verbalize it. Ummm... aren't rappers poets? They describe what they see, and what they experience. Do you think that disrespect of Black women originated with Hip Hop? When have Black women EVER been held in high esteem by society? They have been a double minority since the first slave ship landed here. It was even ok to rape them (in fact, it COULDNT be considered a crime because they weren't even considered a whole human!)

Then you also have to consider the environments that many of these rappers are a product of. In their communities, how are the women treated? How are they taught to treat women as they are growing up? You can't expect a child to grow up in a community where disrespect of women is commonplace to grow up and know better. Some children are the exception, and they know its wrong and dont continue the cycle, but they are just that... exceptions.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not saying that I like hearing rappers say Bytches and Ho's over and over. What I am saying is, the issues are much much deeper. I refuse to put the blame for society's treatment of black women as a whole on the shoulders of Black men in hip hop. The problem existed LONG before hip hop existed. Hip hop started in the 70's. Black women have been negatively viewed and disrespected for CENTURIES.

I REFUSE to villify rap as the sole cause of this disrespect. Hip Hop is a mirror that reflects what is going on in society. They tell their stories honestly and openly, and it may not always come out pretty. We should NEVER try to censor them.

This discussions should be about how SOCIETY treats women, and the double standards they face as a whole. The discussion should be about how we can change the environments from which rappers originate, not just to change the way little boys are taught to view women, but to change how little girls in these environments are taught to view themselves to prevent them from growing up to become 'Superhead's of the future. The discussion should be about ALL the offenses against women. Attacking hip hop will NOT stop disrespect of Black women.

Hip hop should not be singled out as the sole cause... cause that is just ludicrous.

Keeping me in check

My life has been a rollercoaster lately. I am working on five web projects simultaneously. With the deadlines approaching... I dont have time to think much less blog. But I am just really glad to have all of this web design business. This entrepreneur shyt was KICKIN MY AZZ the past few months and I was REALLY struggling for a minute to pay my bills and sometimes, unsuccessfully. But... things are going well.

In fact, congratulations are in order. Your boy Prodigal Sun just won a Salsa contest sponsored by Heineken at this club on this past Saturday. My girl Latin Diva and I won first place, aaaaand an all expense trip to Miami next week to attend the Latin Billboard Awards, and VIP access to a bunch of afterparties. Before ya'll start clowning me like some of my boys started to... NO, it was not some 'Dance with Me' Vanessa Williams & Chayanne type deal where you wear formal costumes and numbers on your backs. That is not the type of salsa I do. I do club style salsa. And we turned it out.

Anyway, we get flown down to Miami to hang out for a couple days, soak up some sun, and hobknob with latin celebrities. Hell... I could be chillin with J-Lo and Marc Anthony. Maybe even Beyonce, now that she has her spanish songs out... who knows? But your boy was on CLOUD 9! Everything was going so well... my business was booming, I won a free trip to Miami for doing something I love to do anyway...

Then this morning... the universe GUT PUNCHED MY AZZ!!! I looked out my window to see if I needed an umbrella to go to the gym, and I noticed something was missing downstairs on the curb. MY FUKKING CAR!!! I knew where I parked it... and it was not there. It wasn't stolen... NYC had towed my car. Parking tickets... I contested them online, but apparently they have no record of me contesting my tickets, and they took my fukkin' car.

Apparently when they didnt see that I contested my tickets, they went into judgement, which basically means that they double the tickets... So tickets that started out totalling only 200 became 400, which was over the 350 dollar limit where they'll tow your car. Then... they charge you $300 for the tow. So to get your car back, you have to pay $750 for tickets that, only two weeks ago were 200 bucks.

NYC government is getting over. This shyt is a rip off. Just when I thought I was getting things under control, I have to come up with almost 800 dollars out of nowhere... otherwise they charge you daily for storage, and if you dont come get your car, they auction it.

I was pissed as hell... but I am calming down. Partly because I am venting now, and partly because I realize that this is the universe's way of keeping me in check. I can never become to comfortable, and too complacent. My business is going well, and I won a free trip, but this incident brought me right back down to earth. Shyt happens, both good and bad... but the lesson is... if you want to maintain your sanity, you cant get too wrapped up in either extreme.

So, I am grounded again. I got the memo universe. I still say fukk the NYC government and their shady practices though.
